Who is eligible to contest a Will in Sydney?

The following is a list of everyone who is eligible to contest a Will in Sydney, NSW.

  • Spouses
  • Former Spouses
  • De Facto Partners (inc. same sex relationships)
  • Children
  • Step Children
  • Grandchildren (If Wholly or Partly Dependent)
  • Members of Deceased’s Household (If Wholly or Partly Dependent)
  • People in Close Relationships with Deceased (Who Lived With Deceased)

If you are not an eligible person, then you have no entitlement to ‘Contest a Will’.
